2. Chicken Coop Construction Requirements When designing and constructing chicken coops, large and medium-sized broiler farms should pay attention to the properties of heat preservation and heat insulation, ventilation and lighting, moisture prevention, convenient production and operation, disinfection and epidemic prevention. According to the different building structure and performance, can be divided into open and closed two categories. The former includes two types of chicken coops with open side walls and windows, which can take advantage of natural ventilation and lighting. Closed chicken coop, also known as windowless chicken coop, because it is relatively closed to the outside world, has the function of temperature isolation and shading, can adjust and control the environment in the coop, which has greater advantages than open chicken coop, but the cost is high and the infrastructure investment is large.
3. Chickens Choose high-quality chicks from healthy breeders. The breeders are required to be free of pullorum, typhoid and fungal infections, and the breeders have been immunized scientifically. The size and color of the chicks are uniform, the weight is above 32g/chicken, and the chicks are healthy and lively.
4. Preparation of chicken houses before entering chicken seedlings and strict cleaning and disinfection of equipment. Disinfected chicken houses should be left vacant for one to two weeks so that the life cycle of the pathogenic bacteria cannot be sustained. After all equipment (including bedding) is properly placed, the chicken house and equipment are fumigated with potassium permanganate and formalin. Close the doors and windows when fumigation, fumigation dose of potassium permanganate per cubic meter of space 14 grams, formalin 28ml. Open doors and windows 48-72 hours before entering the chicken to avoid chick damage.
5. Daily management precautions do not abuse antibiotics, antibiotics: poultry use drugs, the prevention and treatment of diseases are very important, but the drug is only a supplement to the health management plan, and can not replace the normal management, medication must follow the recommendations of the veterinarian. Adequate sterilization intervals: storage of bedding and other items and utensils should be kept away from chickens. Each chicken house must be cleaned and disinfected between the chicken out and the next chicken in, and it can only be left vacant for at least one week after disinfection.
6. Feed Management There are 513 three types of feed for broilers: 510 for broilers, 511 for broilers and 512 for large broilers. 510 is used at the age of 1-21 days, 511 is used at the age of 18-30 days, 512 is used at the age of 28 days to market, or 513 is used 7 days before market. It should be carried out gradually, usually within 3-4 days to complete the replacement.
7. Drinking water management can not stop water, and requires that drinking water is clean and hygienic, free of pathogenic microorganisms, and the drinking water fountain is cleaned and disinfected before filling water. For every 1kg of feed, chickens need to drink 2-3L of water. The higher the temperature, the more water they drink. The height of the drinking fountain should be adjusted appropriately with the growth of the chicken.
8. Reasonable ventilation chicken house ventilation, can provide enough oxygen to the chicken, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ammonia and other harmful gases, drive away the water vapor in the chicken house, control the humidity of the chicken house, adjust the temperature of the chicken house and help control the disease.
